What our families have to say about Kids Can Do, Inc.:"My daughter had never slept through the night, was aggressive, defiant, and had unusual reactions to loud noises and certain fabrics/textures. The therapists at Kids Can Do who have worked with my daughter have been so compassionate and informative. They have offered many helpful suggestions for dealing with her issues. She has begun to sleep through the night and learned coping tools and strategies to assist in her daily life. I cannot stress enough how helpful Carol, Marijo, and Marcy have been, as well as many others who have interacted with my daughter. The care she has received has gone beyond my expectations!" -Michelle, Summer 2010
"Although my son loved the playground, he was afraid to go down the slides, climb rock walls, and swing. Loud, crowded places and noises also seemed to bother him. Two months of occupational therapy at Kids Can Do have made a huge difference in our lives. He will now go down most slides, climbs more, swings, and had a great time at Pump It Up! Noises don't bother him as much either. It is amazing how quickly the therapy has helped him. Rachel has been fantastic with my son. He really looks forward to therapy. Rachel makes it so fun for him. I will always be grateful for Kids Can Do!" -Mom, Summer 2010
"My son receives PT at Kids Can Do to address balance and strength issues. He could barely do one sit-up and now he can do 16! Balance is improving too. Very happy with his progress! He loves coming here and can't wait! The therapists are very helpful and always give us good tips to help him at home." -Karen, Summer 2010
"My son receives speech therapy at Kids Can Do for his dysfluencies. I feel that he has made significant progress. He has learned strategies (techniques) to help him "get through" dysfluent moments. He appears a little more confident in speaking situations as well. My son's therapist, Carrie, is wonderful! We are very happy with her. When my son seems to kind of "get stuck" in therapy, she always tries to come up with new ideas to push him along. He totally looks forward to coming to speech- and he was very apprehensive in the beginning." -Caren, Summer 2010
“About 6 years ago, Kids Can Do was recommended to me for my son. At that time he was the oldest child the therapist had taken care of. We had never heard of Sensory Integration until a former client of Kids Can Do directed us to them for testing. At the time, my son couldn’t brush his teeth without vomiting, climb more than a foot off the ground without crying, and so many other symptoms directly related to S.I. After about a year of therapy at Kids Can Do, my son showed noticeable improvement. Yesterday, he graduated high school, and the week before he went to Great America with a friend and went on every roller coaster there. Without Kids Can Do, and a very patient and wonderful therapist, this wouldn’t have happened. This is just a final Thank You for being “just right” when a frustrated and tired mom needed support and help for her child.” – Mom
“We are so pleased with our son’s progress with the help of Kids Can Do. His early evaluation and diagnosis allowed him to receive the best treatment. His occupational and physical therapists have given him accurate treatments, wonderful encouragement, and the confidence to meet his goals. We are very lucky and his development is attributed to their caring and nurturing ways, and their never-ending professionalism! Thanks Kids Can Do!” – Mom
“Both of our sons have benefitted from speech and occupational therapy during their pre-school years. The modalities really prepared them for their school years and social activities. Families and Kids Can Do staff work together in harmony building the support group our children need to succeed in the world today and for their futures. Thank You!” – Mom
“We would not have achieved everything we have without the therapists at Kids Can Do. Our son has made huge progress with his communication skills, sensory tolerance, and food choices. We continue to work with the therapists so that he can experience new and exciting ways to accomplish his life’s struggles!” – Mom
“It’s FUN!! I hope you can come here some day!!” - Spencer
“Our experience at Kids Can Do has been priceless! The support we have received over the past two years in speech and O.T. has had a tremendous impact on the life of our son and our family as a whole. Our son is now 5 years old and has more confidence and has learned helpful coping tools that have carried over into his home and school life. The KCD staff is knowledgeable, understanding, and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kids Can Do to any family who needs to seek therapy. I sincerely believe that because we’ve dedicated ourselves to EARLY intervention, therapy in the future will not be necessary!” - Mom
